We went to see the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. They had a family concert called, ” Meet the Orchestra!”
It was a free concert. This event was made possible by group of sponsors and their united efforts .
This blog is my way of showing my gratitude.
This year they had the concert at I-Space. It’s a nonprofit organization where kids can tinker things, paint, make, see and get inspired.
This was not a typical concert for many reasons.
They had instrument petting zoo where kids are encouraged to touch instruments on display.
There were no dress code and kids were free to be themselves.
Daddy’s princesses can spend quality time with their dad.
Children were invited to sit under the Maestro’s podium. ( Talk about best seats! This was better than the orchestra seats!)
Moms can join in on the fun with their baby.
Art tables were kids can color, paint, cut, or glue.
Tinker with things… I wanted to grab a screw driver and join in on the fun.
Create new trend.
Look at the art exhibits on display… these were my two favorites.
This was how my two kids responded to the whole experience.
Thank You!
Hi Stephanie,
Thank you posting about the concert. I am the principle cellist and so enjoyed your daughter dancing during the program! I am so glad you and your family enjoyed the afternoon. It was a splendid day for us as well! It is wonderful to see how the music and space created a memorable experience for everyone, especially the children! I hope you daughter continues to pursue her love of dancing! Thanks again for posting and for coming to the concert!
Thank You Pam. I read your message to my daughter before she went to school. It made her morning. 🙂
